Sometimes I picture the subway riders who annoy me as big green trolls. So this week I’m doing subway troll profile comics.
I sometimes do that, but when I realise I’m doing it, I move. Now I’ll imagine myself as a troll when I’ll do it ><
Forgive the ignorance of a man who’s never ridden on a subway before, but what’s the faux pas in doing this?
great! You’ve got to do one about people standing by the door as if there’s money being given out there! And one about people who stand in front of the subway doors as if one can tunnel through them!
Personally I never did that, but why is it bad?
There is no faux pas associated if you are the only person standing, or one of <n, where n = number of poles. However, see the three people behind the troll, desperately hanging on to the only thing they can reach, instead of being able to all hold on at comfortable height?
Personally I like to hold on to the pole at a comfortable height if I can pry my knuckles in there, and then ensure they feel them – or rest my hand on their shoulder to make it obvious that I'd like to hold the pole lower if they would be inclined to share.
When you lean on a pole, other people can’t grab it to keep themselves from falling, or they have to grab it very high which is uncomfortable and awkward…
Im glad that doesnt happen on the bus i ride since im at one of the last stops
