I have a friend who has the same problem, but worse: in auttum and winter she never sees the light of day: when she goes to work, at 7:00 AM it’s still night, and when she leaves to home it’s already night.
I feel your pain.
Ugh im in the same situation. Today the weather in melbourne is beautiful!!! But im stuck in my room , programming an assignment for uni ….
I feel that way too. I’ve got a job (that I love) in a library and I’m taking a few courses at a local college. It’s not terrible, but on some days I get up before the sun has risen, and get home just as it’s setting.
I live in northern Canada and its like that – during lunch it can be a perfect day, but when I’m commuting its night time.
My wife says we live like vampires… >.>
I lived in the Yukon half my life , I know exactly what you mean. Bit at.least in the summer you make up for it. Plus you get Aurora borealis.
I have the exact same problem, and I don’t know how to deal with it, but it’s really annoying and upsetting to me, but it is something of a relief to know I’m not the only one who suffers through every U2-humming/singing-inducing-beautiful-morning.
…Or did I miss the point of this one…
Yep, I know this feeling all too well. Except, I don’t have a window to help me guage the weather…
Aw yeah, actually most of the places I’ve worked at have me far away from a window. One of the things I like about working at home is that I’m right be a window facing the street.
I understand this all too well. I’ve already been forced to retire my sunglasses for the season.
Beautifully drawn strip, by the way. I have a feeling many of us will be revisiting that first panel in lieu of actual sunshine this winter.
Thank you! Hopefully the dark winter days are still a ways off….sigh.
I always lament the loss of sunshine in the winter, it’s so depressing.
Love the lighting effects in this one, great job!
Thanks. I just realized I made this before daylight savings – it’s going to get worse! Noooooo!
It’s like a window into my life, but I don’t swap my mouse from left handed to right from work to home.
Oh snap! You got me, hah. 😀
Every time I feel bad for playing games on the computer, I remember that it’s already DARK OUTSIDE and it no longer matters 🙁
In the summer, I do tend to get outside more. Walks in the evening, etc.
Its been proven Emploees are much happier and more productive if they get out for lunch. Even if its just walking around outside for 20 minutes. Depending on where you work you really should give it a try. It also have definite health benefits. So your healthier and happier and a better worker. 🙂
I work in department store, where the only windows in the store itself are on the ceiling, and they are tiny. When the weather is extra nice I’d rather take extra trips to throw out the empty cardboard boxes:B
It’s a gorgeous day in Sydney today, and I keep thinking about this comic, and the weather outside… although at least we have daylight saving here now. Sorry. I do feel your pain.
In WoW, it’s beautiful out, even when it rains. Haha =) Goldshire showers FTW.
