Don’t be sad… I bet your WoW toon can beat up her WoW toon. =)
I hate how that happens! It’s just so…lame….TIE HER UP!
Still a great sweatshirt 😛
Lovely red dress>hoody IMO….go for the vestments of the shifting sand out of AQ 20…better dress
ps. kitty textile mill
Aww I almost feel bad for Lisa, that is just so sad D:
I’ll take the sweatshirt over the dress any day
The other girl’s in high heels, chaser her down and take the dress from her. She can’t run in those things. 😉
haaaa, you’d be surprised at what a woman in heels can do.
and by that I mean I can – and have – run in heels. Easily.
I’ve found that chasing a woman down to tear her clothes off usually ends badly…
Or chasing a woman down to tear her clothes off ends extremely well. I think someone’s just had bad luck.
And, on another note, I identify so much with this strip. I’m a female WoW player. lvl 70 Draenei Warrior =)
It’s kind of like finally getting your full set of raid/arena gear, only to have the next major content patch release a week later.
I have a lvl 80 AND love high heels! Sometimes I just wished I could blink in real life to save my poor sore feet sometimes! 😉
But – tbh – sometimes none of my nice high heels or all the fancy dresses can compete with my much better comfy clothes
I have so done this before ><!
Something about this comic is… intriguing me. I like the art style behind this piece. Panel 3 portrays sadness very well, yet incredibly simply. Well done, Ms. Varn, well done indeed.
Strictly on subject, I find it hard to say that I feel your pain, what with that this hasn’t happened to me. It is infinitely hard to make me feel outdone with fashion, mostly because I don’t know fashion, so I don’t know when I’m 1-upped.
This comment is far too long. Sorry.
Yup, this is pretty much a common theme of my life.
Oh well, in the end, the comfy red sweatshirts win out every time.
Fix for Red sweatshirt girl: Put on sexy dress.
Fix for Dress girl: Develop an interesting personality, artistic skills, sense of humor, etc. etc.
The girl in the dress soo isn’t comfy in the thing or walking in high heels!
Whoa, story of my life here – yikes. Tho I still say sweatshirt ftw!
I completely understand this comic. I love that I can wear jeans and a t-shirt to work, but yet I walk down the street and see women in gorgeous getups and suddenly am not as happy. (Although in the past, when I was doing fun things instead of shopping/spending money on gorgeous get-ups I was happy, so maybe it balances out!)
Yeah, I wish I had some trenchcoats instead of my grey Columbia coat…
I make a point to dress well every day. I kick -ss with my lvl 80 warlock, but I don’t understand how other gamer chicks can stand to wear t-shirts and sweatshirts. SO unflattering. And I hate it that just because of the way I dress, I’m expected to be an idiot who doesn’t even know what “Super Mario” is, let alone play WoW. Even my pupils in my mathematics courses belittle me and then turn around and ask me for my help, because I understand the material better than they do.
i get so jealous when i go the mall and buy a pare of shoes i had wanted a whole month… and then shoe them to my friends and they are like ” those were so last year” Whhhy!? Whhhy Me!? in WoW i really hated having leveled up my alt high enough to finaly get outrageously expensive mount and finally i buy the thing at lvl 40 and the next week u could get the 60% speed mounts at level 30 for a fraction of the price… now u can get the 60% speed at 20 for only 3gold and the 100% at 40 for only 50g instead of the original 600g it used to be >.< whhhhy!? whhhy me!?
This is very late (I just arrived from bugmartini) but… to be honest I think the sweatshirt-wearing is usually more attractive. It sends an ‘I don’t spend five hours getting ready’ kind of message.
