Honestly, I have tripped over a mouse in the past but the mouse didn’t survive the fall.
As for your question I’m not enjoying MoP yet. Been unemployed for 13 months sucks and I can say with some certainty that I’m not going to feel any shame asking my little brother for WoW money :P

    • Eirik

I share your pain. 6 months and counting.

I quit WoW almost 3 years ago. When I got to the level cap in WotLK, it turned into a 2nd job I had to pay in order to do (grinding Dailies just to gear for raids). I quit before I even got close to do any real raiding because of burnout.

I’m now playing GW2 and enjoying it very, very, VERY much. And I’m very glad for it providing “raid” events for even lowbies.

To be fair to WoW, some lessons I learned from WoW I’m applying to GW2. I don’t intend to rush to the level cap, I want to take my time, I want to avoid altaholism to focus on my characters’ progression and learning how to play them properly, etc.

They won’t be able to resist the call of WOW. Just give in to the temptation!

I logged into all my chars to admire my pet collection! I changed mains in WotLK and a lot of my pets and titles were on my old main, I’m happy to have everything on my current main now.

Then I logged off because I’m totally burnt out and I want to take a break so I can enjoy MoP.

  5. Sonzilber

    Nope. Too busy playing Skyrim

  6. Moobacker

Not played WoW since Dec last year, not ordered MoP. To busy playing The Secret World it has many nice changes that make it fun to play

    • Zephyrus

I <3 The Secret World, but I'm also playing WoW and gonna install/play GW2 here soon.

      • Moobacker

I am hooked on TSW I keep repeating missions over and over so I can get all my points filled in. I love the Missions that have you running info checks on google to find out company websites or who wrote a certain piece of music so you can figure out a password. Those missions are so cool and so unlike anything else in the MMO world

I’m excited. We got our raid team through DS a while back (casual raid guild, so I feel accomplished)

Right now I’m just leveling another hunter alt on my secondary server for something to do while I wait for the Theramore scenario to go live. Can’t wait for pet battles though. Those were so much fun the last time I was in the beta :>

  8. Hituro

I’m enjoying the pre-patch, but not as much as I enjoyed the Beta, can’t wait to get to Pandaria for real, it’s so pretty. Of course I am a sucker for that sort of setting, ever since I played Legend of the Five Rings, so I was bound to like it if it was done right, which it is.

    • Squ1rrels

I used to play that. Before Wizards took over it when it was ran by AEG I built a Dragon Rats deck.

  9. Kai

I’m just waiting for a comic where a little rogue is squeeling over the changes XD

  10. Squ1rrels

I quit WoW over a year ago. Got bored of it. I’m waiting for Torchlight 2 to come out.

Just came back to WoW after cancelling my sub back in February, though I actually hadn’t played much since last September. I’m not a raider or much of a PvPer, and I got burned out just doing the same dailies over and over on six level 85 characters…

But I’m friends with another WoW player who suffers early-onset Alzheimer’s (he was profiled on WoW Insider a while back), and one of my 85s is in his guild to help him out now and then. I promised him I’d be back for MoP, so here I am.

That said, I am not, and will not play GW2 or any other NCSoft game since they’ve just rather abruptly pulled the rug out from under City of Heroes. I only just discovered CoH last September (a big part of the reason my WoW play decreased), and I’ve found myself more invested in my CoH characters and their stories than I ever got invested in my WoW characters. And now it’s all going away. “Mists of Pandaria” is appropriate, because I an a sad panda :(

    • Eirik

You probably shouldn’t be too hard on NCSoft. Scuttlebutt is that the gaming engine was actually owned by Cryptic (who left to make Champions Online) and just licensed to NCSoft. … and that when the license expired, Cryptic may have simply declined to renew the license, or set the cost prohibitively high.

I had enjoyed CoX back in the day, but I got tired of it. … and CO never grabbed me the way CoX did. Part of it was the whole comic book motif. Part the balky costume designer. Part the play.

    • Javier

I understand the desire punish NCSoft for closing down the City Of games, but please don’t punish ANet as well. They did a terrific job on GW2.

      • MisterRik

Well, there’s also the fact that I game on a Mac, and CoH was the only NCSoft title with a Mac client. So I’m pretty much left with just WoW for my MMO fix. Though I’ve been told that the upcoming Elder Scrolls Online will have a Mac version.

Re: Cryptic engine license – that theory has been satisfactorily debunked, by both the Paragon devs and Cryptic themselves.

        • maryvarn

And GW2 just announced a Mac client! I haven’t tried it yet though. Maybe after I level in MoP I’ll try GW2.
That really does suck about CoH though. I never played it, but I understand a lot of people are upset it’s shutting down.

Been playing GW2 the last few days. It’s nice to have a game that feels fresh and entertaining. I have little interest in MoP, yes it fixes a lot of issues i had with the game, but most of it falls under to little to late. Blizzard just isn’t what it used to be.

  13. Joal

I was so burned out after WotLK that not only did I stop playing WoW, I’ve barely played anything else since. Portal 2 is pretty much the only game I’ve played through for quite a while.

  14. taijavu

Been playing Wow like crazy since the patch, so much funner.

  15. Barrista

A month late (I read at work and it’s been busy), but just wanted to say that GW2 has kitties. Big, scary kitties, but still kitties!
