Oh boy… There’s no real link between a success and an increase in wealth with the quality of a CCG. Sure, it gives a company the resources to make more, but not all expansions of M:tG, for example, have been good.
For that matter, the reverse may be true. The more cards are added to a CCG, the wilder and more imbalanced the game as a whole becomes. That’s why CCG companies end up making tournament formats that limit the cards you can use.
Panel 1:
Chloe: This is great! We can just sit back while our card game sells like catnip cakes!
Bink: Nope! We gotta get to work making new cards!
Panel 2:
Chloe: But the game works great as is! How will releasing new cards make it better?
Panel 3:
Bink: Because we'll make more money, making us happier and more productive, enabling us to come up with even better cards!
Chloe: So as our wealth increases, so does the quality of our product...
Bink: Yep!
Panel 4:
Chloe: Like George Lucas?
Bink: Nope.

I like how Chloe looks in your new(ish) style. Pretty cool!
LOL! Awww…. Poor George…
I think I read somewhere the he won’t make more Star Wars movies because it hurt his feelings that people didn’t like the prequels.
I’m trying to picture a cat, neck deep in a catnip-laced layer cake.
…
Nope, my mind won’t go there.
Chloe has an incisive mind.
