Narrator: You work on a computer all day! At the end of it you want to blow off some steam in World of Warcraft!
Lisa (bent over, stiff): Yeah!
Panel 2:
Narrator: Who cares that your body isn't optimized for sitting in front of a computers sixteen hours a day!
Lisa (her left hand is being bitten by Bink): My left hand is numb. (Indicates she has Carpal Tunnel Syndrome)
Panel 3:
Narrator: Nothing some top-of-the-line ergonomic equipment can't fix!
Lisa: (hunched over in front of the computer, in the glow of the screen, squinting her eyes) Is thirty too young to need reading glasses?
Panel 4:
Narrator: Congratulations! You slayed Deathwing and saved Azeroth.
Lisa: I can't straighten my elbow.
You think 30 is too young ? I’ve been needing glasses since I was 8 :p
Aw, sorry.
I’ve been wearing contacts/glasses since I was 11. But I think when it’s that young it’s just because we’re genetically nearsighted (in my case) or farsighted, right? And then we can still look forward to our eyes degenerating from getting old.
Then we get bifocals, yay!
You want mine?
I’ve been wearing glasses since age 9 and I’m almost blind right now, age 16.
30′s is the new 50′s. I’d to share what the brother of my brother’s business partner asked him on his 30th birthday party:
How does it feel to have lived half your life-time ?
*I’d like to share … senile 32 year old mind is eating up my words
I know this feeling ^^
Pffft, been wearing reading glasses since my teens.
i can sympathise
im 35 and had to get glasses to drive last week
Heh, just wrapped a script the other day for LP about how horrible it is to work at a computer all day. Great minds think alike!
Also I lol’d at the reading glasses line. This was a good one!
Thanks Mike! I’m both glad but sympathetic that you can relate.
Lol, I had perfect vision until I was 25. After having my second daughter, I needed reading glasses, which are now “all the time” glasses. I just turned 31 the beginning of April XD
Great comic today, as usual!
Her left hand is numb, but her left forearm must be strong indeed if she can lift Bink like that
I have one eye that is nearsighted and one that is farsighted (and one cat that is all-sighted), so I take the glasses off for reading and read with one eye. The eye doctor told me that’s the best way to do it in my case. Can’t see 3D, though. And carpal (not carapal) tunnel syndrome? Yep, have that too. 55 years old. At least I have a comfy chair.
30! My dear, my daughter turns 31 in two weeks.
Yes, I wear glasses. Yes, I have a special keyboard and a multi-button mouse.
I’m older than your daughter.
But I’m keeping Lisa right at 30 BECAUSE I CAN MUHAHAHAHAHA
Took her THIS LONG to kill Deathwing?!?!
I thought the Master of the Alt-Leveling-turkey liver-chowing- panda painting-Poopal controlling-Meeple eating-Death Knight Tanking-kittens of Disaster would have made a better effort to kill that psycho before now.
I wonder when we’ll see the Black Dragon Prince again? He’s got a “anti-hero, but -I’m-still-the-good-guy” vibe to him. (Wrathion, for those who don’t know him, but since the author palys a gnome druid, I thought she’d be all over those Rogue-Batman-Wing Daggers.)
Gnome rogue, where is my brain today?
I think I dropped it in the car.
*plays
I managed to hold out to 48 before I got computer glasses to go with my bifocals.
And Mary, I thought the joke was that a woman reached 29 and … stayed 29 forever. Or at least that’s what you said she looks like. Unless you really LIKE the couch…
Did I say I was keeping Lisa at 29? If I did, I changed my mind. I like being in my thirties, so Lisa gets to be in her thirties too. It’s a weird age. Still young, but with the expectations of being a mature responsible adult – moreso than the twenties.
But yeah, I think a woman lying and saying she’s 29 is a common trope.
I think this has the most comments ever •_•
Slew*
Slayed isnt a word =3
brb, designing biology optimized for +16hr/day
I was farsighted when I was young. I am currently lucky, my family turns nearsighted with age. My eyes fixed themselves around 13. My older brother went nearsighted 2ish years from my current age.
So I have two years of good sight and then we’ll see how my initial far-sightedness offsets the decay!
Then again I haven’t triggered the genetically gimp arm’s gimpy mode yet…. (Mwahaa, I know how to push my limits correctly!)
This 45 year old says…Nailed it! suffering from all of the above on long gaming nights and just discovered I need glasses.
