I’m looking forward to going home to see my parents and brother this Wednesday. But don’t worry – there are comics all through the Christmas-to-New-Year-week and right on into 2012.
It’s only me, or looks like she is holding the wrong hand. The gloves may be misleading me, and is right if she is doing the same thing as him, but looks like she is holding the wrong at the first glimpse.
I fully admit that I did no research on boxing and just threw a few punches myself for some photo reference. But then, I don’t think Lisa and Mike have any boxing experience either.
He meant the hand shes holding isnt the one she punched with and therefor would not be sore. The sore hand (with the sore exclamations over it) is on top of her uninjured hand opposite of how you would react in reality
Lisa’s flaw as a character and a geek. I really have to commend her characterization- she’s nice, relatable and very human. I’m glad to the not-so-nice side of her as well as it makes her even more human. Good writing, good writing.
They are not just ambidextrous, but remarkably handy for a pair of geeks. Installing one of those hooks take quite a bit of work if you want it to support a punching bag.
So true. We kind of hate installing stuff in the walls of our apartment. We’ve even had a shelf collapse on us. Maybe the punching bag will fall down on Lisa and Mike, revealing that they’re not as handy as we think?
I’m a first time reader, and I started at 2AM this morning, at the first strip, its now 5:40AM but I finally got through them all! this is an amazing comic you have here, cant wait to read until the end of time
Hehe, I started at 9am yesterday morning and have just finished. Mind you I took plenty of breaks because … dun dun dun…
The kitties made me finally get my finger out and start my own Death Knight. So I read your comic and Have levelled her to 62 hehe. Thanks for the inspiration to finally give in to my curiosity
Panel 1:
Mike: So...you installed a punching bag in the living room!
Lisa: Yep. It's a healthy way to vent my anger at the guild for kicking me out!
Panel 2:
Mike: In front of the tv...
Lisa: They were just intimidated by me and my addon that reminds them of my worth!
Panel 3:
Mike: And I was planning on watching some Deep Space Nine right now!
Lisa: Oh well. Their loss.
Panel 4: They both let out their pent up anger and punch the bag at the same time form opposite directions.
Panel 5:
Lisa: I'll move the punching bag.
Mike: Shoot it through the wormhole.

Make it so number…wait, wrong Star Trek series.
Deep Space Nine? I watched only 2 startreks series and that was Voyager and the one with picard.
It’s been so many years of re-runs that I’m starting to learn the scripts by heart.

It looks correct to me. She punched with her left, and she is cradling her left hand on top of her right
Agreed – plus the “ouchy lines” (their technical term) are coming off the correct hand.
looks to me like she is holding her right hand with her left hand on top of it in the picture
I refused to watch DS9, mostly due to its blatant rip-off of Babylon 5.

Thank you!!!
Seconded

But getting it up and able to withstand a punch is already pretty good….
