I think an animator who “has to program” in flash, I think Lisa has the better of it.

Once you know how to program for one event, you’re set. And that’s really pretty trivial.

Us programmers would need a several-month intensive art course in order to know how to draw the art resources. (Actually animating them once you have the art is, IMO, much simpler than drawing them in the first place. Or at least a lot less scary.)

We animators, who often spend most of our time animating in Flash, have to be very careful how we answer the “Do you know Flash” question. And even then there’s confusion. I once gave a client an animated movie and he exclaimed “But nothing happens when I click on it!”
