I consider myself a nerd, but I love sports as well. I have a weekly RPG game and i play wow, but I never miss a OSU football game. So I dont see why the two are always seen to be incompatible.
I don’t think they’re incompatible. But I think there’s a culture of nerds vs jocks in a lot of schools and that sometimes carries over into adulthood.
I LIKED Moneyball!
Sports movies appeal to me because you don’t have to have any idea ow what’s going on — the emotions are tangible enough to make up for your lack of knowledge. n____n
Panel 1:
Patrick: Lisa, you have to see Moneyball!
Lisa: No thanks. Baseball is boring.
Patrick: This isn't about baseball! It's about how nerds beat jocks with math!!!
Panel 2:
Patrick (gesturing to self): Nerds! Like us!
Panel 3:
Lisa: Do you have an economics degree from Yale and an astute understanding of Sabermetrics?
Panel 4:
Patrick: I, uh...
Lisa: This isn't our victory, Patrick. D&D did not defeat baseball.

Somehow… this is depressing.
BTW, what’s going on with Lisa’s hair? Did she sleep THAT bad?
I noticed she has given up on brushing her hair over the last 10-15 stips lol
Sad, but true. Sabermetrics sounds very D&D though.
This made me laugh harder than I deserved. Thank you for that!
