Just found your comics recently and have been catching up. I know this one was from ages ago, but I just have to say that I love the last panel. Sometimes you really do just get so caught up in healz and deeps meters ad guides that you forget there is a world outside, and that you really are more than your priest/rogue/hunter!

try playing an EU server, it’s $20/mo USD and the price fluctuates versus the euro, so it can be even more. I was having fun but eh, cut down on some bills for now attempting to save for moving half way across the country (I do actually live in the US lol).

You instantly reminded me of Alan Moore’s Watchmen: If opening the eyes of one’s audience can only be accomplished by the best comedians, then consider what it means to a webcomic writer and artist who does the same thing.

Biggest challenge with quitting WoW for now is that there is no strong MMORPG alternative to WoW … GW2 will not be for several months more. I’m sure there are some people who will be dropping WoW the moment the new Star Wars MMORPG is live.

Ah, that makes sense then. It seems WoW has become a more casual-based game lately, though. I remember TBC raiding, some of which was hard as nails. But my friend (who still plays WoW daily) has already defeated Fandral Staghelm more than once, just about facerolling his fire mage, and he’s seen the flamescythe drop 3 times. A little silly…

My wife and I enjoy the comic because it does tend to mirror us a bit. She’s played a rogue and won’t give it up to play anything else. I heal on all of my healy-toons. At the end of a raid night, we go to bed together, talking about how good we did and how we can improve, we make our own little strategies. I won’t say it’s the focus of our lives, especially with a little one on the way, but it does create a common bond we can both share in and grow together on. Will we play WoW forever? Probably not.. but for $30, the cost of two movie tickets and a bag of popcorn, we stay entertained and happy for a month. Not too shabby, imo.

I haven’t been there. Haven’t done any raids in Cataclysm actually! I play very casually these days. Ever since I started the comic. Not enough time! And our guild is a small group of RL friends, not enough to raid with. We’ve been running heroics lately.
