Anyone else notice that as the storyline progresses, she was a girl who had a healthy interest in online gaming, but she becomes more and more dependent on the internet/games to the point where it negatively impacts her life? It seems that her obsession is becoming unhealthy. She’s focusing more on WOW while excluding other things in her life. Almost makes me think the cats need to stage an intervention or something.
She’s always had an obsession with online dating. Heck, the first panels showed her lying to her friends about it.
It doesn’t appear to have tipped over into an “unhealthy obsession” however. She still goes out with her boyfriend, she still goes to work, she still has other hobbies (even if it’s just other games), etc.
And many of us like this comic not just because Mary is hilariously funny and talented, but because we identify with Lisa and her gaming.
Oh thats not so bad once i was on the phone with my girlfriend and I was telling her about my day and randomly mentioned p0rn because my roommates were talking about it
Panel 1: Mike approaches Lisa. Outside, night. Lisa has her bag and laptop.
Mike: Lisa! I was looking all over for you! Are you ok???
Panel 2:
Lisa: (hugging Mike) I am now.
Panel 3:
Mike: Let's go home and play a good old-fashioned board game together.
Panel 4: Mike and Lisa walk away, hand in hand.
Mike, to himself: I hope she doesn't notice the internet is back.
Lisa, to herself: I wonder if I should ask him if the internet is back.

Aww, how sweet are they going to be playing tabletop warhammer?
‘You’re OK I’m OK’, that’s something from ‘Transactional Analysis’, right?
Anyways, loving the comic, as always
alt text is “ask him the cats” – is that supposed to be “ask the cats” instead?
Yeah…..corrected.
:O Mike lost weight…
well if he can do it , so can i!
I think I drew him way too skinny in panel 3.

Gaming, not dating.
Gaming, not dating.
It’s the TV’s fault, it’s running some stupid commercial about match.com….
