Panel 1:
Patrick: Are you two going to lunch?
Kendra: Yeah, the pho place.
Patrick: What a coincidence! That’s where I’M going?
Panel 2:
Kendra: Oh! Are you meeting someone?
Patrick: Nope. I’m just gonna sit by myself, catch up on the latest handsome man’s guide to managing fortune.
Panel 3:
Kendra: You’re welcome to sit with -
Patrick: OH OK!
Panel 4:
Lisa (to Patrick): Handsome Man’s Guide to Managing Fortune?
Patrick: My fire mage is both studly and flush with gold.
I’ve been on informal company lunches … much like organizing a raid…
- the more people involved, the more ‘overhead’ there is
- someone eventually has to take charge (decide where folks are going, count noses and say “we’ll need X cars”, etc)
- someone is bound to be unhappy with the loot.
- everyone will wonder why lunch took 2 hours.
I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop on Kendra, though. She’s “the stable, sensible one”. But at some point, we’ll discover she’s only a part time wow player – she’s really a quilting fanatic! (or something). Or that she finds being “the reliable one” depressing.
Yup, funny money is a real selling point with the ladies.
That guy looks different… on panel 3 like some kid
It’s funny to pretend that in the last panel he’s yawning, already bored from his conversation with women. <– in this scenario he's a chauvinist.
I’m pretending that all their interrupting speech bubbles are blocking the fact Kendra’s actually telling them to sit with the c---roaches.
how big is this lunch group going to get?
lol Keep collecting “party members” on the way

I can’t help but think of Aang from the Last Airbender when I see that guy. I love it!
it’s amassing how they are going to the same place
