I feel for Fitzgerald. When I was three I took the kittens we had into the little pool to play. They did not survive. I am 42 years old now and it still haunts me.
I apparently taught my cat how to swim. The cat would get to the edge of the kitty pool and I would throw her back in the middle. I was 3 but the cat lived to a ripe old age of 19.
I feel for you Bouvi! When I was in high school I ran over a cat that darted in front of the car. May have been unavoidable, but I was probably driving too fast.
I was so distraught and cowardly about it that I couldn’t face the cat’s owner. My wonderful mom found the owner and fessed up for me.
Is anyone else inspired by the fact that it appears Fitz has finally found his voice? Both literal (her cat is talking to her?!) and figuratively (he has learned how to say stop). I LOVE IT. *hugs Fitz*
This just goes to show: Talking cats don’t need to bristle, bite OR scratch to get their point across. More cats should talk.
But back in the real world, I have noted a couple of cat groups that were able to communicate to us humans. And separate “dialects” for the different groups. As in “particular meows for feed me vs pet me ….”
Maybe gentel hands could.come a w brush. Fitz looks like he could use it and might even like it

Alien talking cat! call the area 51 people immediately! Chole and bink can teach alien cats to talk!
I can see it now. “Mommy Kittee talks” “yes honey kittys say meow, can you say meow?” followed by the furstated look little kids can get when they want to say something but don’t yet have the vocabulary to express it.

I am really annoyed that the girl’s mom allows her to terrorize Fitz. I am glad that Fitz found the strength to standup for her(?)self.
I know it’s a comic, but too many people treat their pets like things and not as things we took into our house and therefore have a responsibility to treat well. Love this storyline, but it just hits my righteous indignation that people actually don’t take better care of their Kids or animals.

I do notice that the cats seem devoid of catlike behaviors like bristling and spitting. In Archie and Mehitabel the cat was a descendant of Cleopatra.
Bink and Chloe tank a DK and power level for gibblets – how much more catlike behaviour could they show??
