Glad to see that the girl at least apologized for pulling the cat’s tail. The way she was treating him’s kinda bothered me throughout this arc.
Kids don’t always know better. What bothered me is that she wasn’t being watched, or maybe she was, either way the parent(s) didn’t intervene and stop the animal abuse.
I suppose they may’ve settled for a “if he bites you for pulling his tail, you deserve it”… without counting on poor Fissyweather being too soft-hearted to do so. (And not quite high-strung enough to get away from the demon-bug before she got his tail.)
I thought we were talking about this fictional comic for a second, with a fictional girl, fictional cat, fictional parental supervision.

True, not all kids have parental guidance to animals from parents who know animals well. I wouldn’t necessarily put it as her age defining her not knowing as as not being taught. I’ve seen adults that do/tolerate that kind of thing with no understanding of the grief it causes the animal.
I think Lisa needs to learn how to hold a cat. Around the neck is not generally well-tolerated by any feline I’ve ever met.

I don’t know about YOUR apartment/condo complex, but MY apartment/condo complex is doggy poo free. I think we should give Lisa the benefit of the doubt and assume she lives in a doggy poo free apartment building.
Well, I’m sure Fitz can sneak out from time to time….

Good thing Lisa doesn’t read the comments, or she would be SO insulted that people think she has bear feet and her building is rife with dog poo!

I have never lived in any apartment complex where I’d willingly walk around the hallways barefoot. In fact, I’ve only lived in one where I noticed them cleaning the hallways regularly.
But I’m willing to assume that Lisa lives in much ritzier digs than I have.

The only thing that bothers me is that the demon bug girl is suddenly not even up to lisa’s knee, the cats are almost as tall as her (including Fitz), and the part in the center of the door is suddenly at lisa’s waist instead of her shoulders.

Just wanted to come in the defence of Lisa, walking around barefoot seems perfectly normal to me. I don’t know where in the world she’s at, but if it’s anywhere not freezing cold, then bare feet is ok
I’d be barefeet myself if it wasn’t because it’s still freezing cold in Denmark at this point.

dunno about temperature, but you guys should be able to walk barefoot a lot more than ppl back here (india). you have much cleaner pavements/streets/floors and better maintenance after all.
in the North, it’s either too hot or too cold to be barefoot. In the South, they have scorpions.
btw should i “knitpick” about how bug spray is quite literally poison and can cause serious damage to child and feline eyes? nah
I never let my feet touch the ground. I have a fatal susceptibility to athlete’s foot.
