I sometimes forget to look for the hidden text!
How do we get to see the alt text or hidden text. I’ve seen it commented but never asked.
Hehe, yeah, it’s actually not that obvious. It appears when you roll your mouse over the comic! I think I started doing adding it around this time last year.
Hold your cursor still over the comic for a second or two.

…so you know something has been bugging me she’s a vegan but has no problem feeding her cats chicken hearts that are harvested from chickens eaten by us Omnivores?

Well I gotta tell you it’s actually pretty common for vegans/vegetarians to feed their cats meat. I’m one of them in fact. I can’t say there’s never some inner conflict about it, but the thing is, the general consensus is that cats can get really unhealthy if they don’t eat meat. Upsets their ph balance or something.
For me it’s pretty simple. I don’t need meat to be healthy, but my cats do, and I’m responsible for them. (And please note the ‘I’ statement – it’s a personal choice and not something I push on other people.)
Cats are obligate carnivores. Their bodies don’t digest plant matter as efficiently as herbivores and omnivores. Their intestines are able to extract nutrients from organs,meat,and bones…but they’re not designed for veggies! When you see cat food advertising that it has a healthy amount of veggies,it’s really just a marketing ploy.Aslo,taurine is essential for cats and cannot be found in plants. They can go blind without it!

I facepalm when I see a $3 can of cat food advertised with cranberries and brown rice.
My cat-food lol? When it says, “The tastes your cat loves!” on the side of a can of beef cat food. When has my kitty (or any domestic breed, for that matter) taken down a cow?!?!
Although, to be honest, the visual of a clowder of housecats taking down a cow is both amusing and frightening.
My sister’s been sneaking broccoli into our cat’s food because she heard of a case where it prolonged a cat’s life more than a decade past the norm…but since cats can’t make their own taurine we haven’t dared to take away the meat part of his diet.

I wouldn’t want to get on the wrong side of a females ork and a female dwarf…
… With a female ork on one side, and a female dwarf on the other, you’d be flanked. They’d have combat advantage. AND… you wouldn’t simply be able to shift a square back and flee, you’d have to grant them BOTH opportunity attacks.
I’ll leave the double entendres to the imagination.
