I actually pulled that on my mother and aunt this summer. I told them that I’d only go on vacation with them if they played a game of my choice with me for one night. It’s time to payup, so tonight I’m teaching them to play D&D.
He seems to be the type to buy dice by the pound. I like him. I used to roll from a whole bag of d20s. I’d reach in, select a die at random and roll. For rolls that needed to be secret, our group rigged up a blind box we could roll into.
You always need a rogue to check for traps. Otherwise, that closet of tabletop horrors will gank your party members right off the bat. Better get your monk to rezzing before he puts on his wizard hat.
OMG it’s my old bedroom closet.. total count at inventory..
16 RPGs( including white books of AD&D, original chainmail rules, D&D and AD&D 1st, and 2nd edition), 15 Additional AD&D supplement books, 27 Game modules for AD&D, 12 Modules for other RPGs, 12 needlepoint boxes of Minatures, and 37 assorted dice. Plus Battletech Minatures and Rule books.
Then along came my first PC ( a big yard sale)and D&D gold box games and later yet.. WoW.
That last panel gave me shivers..
