It’s somthing that’s gonna be very hard to descibe without pictures. You know peddles are attached to the bike by stips of metal. I imagine it’s them moving very quickly, but as you pan away from the bike you wouldn’t be able to see them so well? I think that’s the idea, tis one of those things that’s hard to imagine to draw…
Panel 2 is vague looking because the comic features a progressive reveal of sorts. 1) Oh…a hamster. 2) Look…it’s running on a spinning wheel. 3) Ah…the wheel is attached to the bike!
no its neither of those, the cats acidently knocked over some orange juice onto the wheel but its gone by panel 3

Btw: I´m impressed about how a so simple comic has got my attention so fast, it´s a great storyline and with constant updates and are very funny.
