Oh no! Actually, that’s the reason that we have Sphynx – my husband is allergic to cat hair, but not cat saliva, so our Sphynx are perfect for him. Our one Sphynx, ‘Merlin’, is very attached to my husband and rubs into his face and sleeps under his chin, and it doesn’t bother my husband at all! But if he’s in a house with ‘regular’ furred cats, he starts sneezing and his eyes start watering before too long.

Not everyone who is allergic to cats can tolerate Sphynx, but I’m so glad my husband is one who can! Life without cats would be very sad.

I have known a few people that had to get hypoallergenic pets. I, personally, am glad that I can enjoy the company of any cat
