Think the Zombie event was bad?…I thought it wasn’t as bad as when AQ40 opened…now THAT was a lagfest.Lightbringer’s population of 60 at the time congregated at the gates…

Hah, I see your point. But, no I wasn’t being sarcastic. It was indeed frustrating to have all that lag, but the fun for me was just in the fact that this was a one time event, that the world was being changed! The anticipation for the event and ultimately the expansion, the crowds (though lag-inducing to be sure) just made it all exciting for me. I was expecting the lag, so it was no surprise. And it really just lasted while the mobs attacked. Everything leading up to it, and afterwards while we walked through the big dead corpses was speedier.

So.. I don’t usually comment but I’m just curious maryvarn… are you being sarcastic in this post or not?

What you described in that event sounds like the anti-thesis of fun. How much fun can you really have when you are so lagged/bogged down that the frame rate is basically zero and you can’t really do anything?

I’m not flaming, I’m seriously a little confused.

I loved the zombie event! I took my orc hunter zombie-hunting every chance I got. I made it my goal to go the entire event without getting infected, while still visiting major cities. I failed when they upped the zombie explode radius to something like 30 yards, at which point I decided my goal would be to eat as many brains as possible.

The best was when I had to fight a badly-outnumbered running battle through Stonard so that my Karazhan raid group could land without getting infected.

I loved the zombie event as well. It gave my priest and paladin characters a chance to cleanse like they’ve never cleansed before. I did find it odd how much swearing was directed my way, though.

Sadly, I missed that event. But I didn’t miss the zombie fest. The only downside I saw in it was that it was a tad wee bit long… the last 2 days or something were really annoying, you couldn’t do anything near any place with infestation. :\

i know they wouldn’t do it cause it would be to insane but i would love a event where you were flying over azeroth as it was changing watching it get ripped apart and changed

Little in the history of WoW has been as controversial as the zombie event. I was in the camp that loved it. But I admit I wasn’t doing anything important at the time. I’d love to see something like it in the future, perhaps they can find a way for players to opt of the potential harassment that occurs.
