Sometimes I sketch directly into Flash, but lately that’s been frustrating. Maybe I need to update my driver. I think I got better results this time from sketching on paper first.

I wish I could draw
Me too….
I can draw fine in my head. I have what Futurama calls “stupid fingers.”
The artists I have talked to said that, in their experience with digital art, your skills with the physical work can atrophy. While simple sketching may not be nearly as affected as, say, working with oils or watercolors, there may be something to that. I’m not an artist myself, though… I just hang out with some of them at a convention I help with.
