Don’t forget Ony’s coming in November. But, yeah, its important to remember that it’ll be a while before Cataclysm or I’d be tempted to just to wait it out, too.
And maybe all the changes will allow you to feel less guilty for playing so much Scriblenauts instead of WoW when it comes out.
Well, yeah, Arthas, but right now oI’m having a ton of fun in ToC, heroic 25 mode is nuts and we just totally smacked. FIghts in there are fun without being fully of silly gimics! ToC seems to be more about the player and the gear than how well you can avoid clouds, falling ice and missles.
If ice crown stays on the lvl of ToC it will be the best raid to date!
Well, two things – first off, it’s going to be a long long time before Cataclysm comes out; that’s plenty of time in which one could be getting one’s alts all decked out in pretty pretty purples. Second, regarding fishing being more fun… they promised us better dancing in Lich King. *looks* Nope, still doing the same human dance. They also promised a system to replace riding boots/crops, and what have you. I note that my poor riding crop no longer functions, and they have not perfected the replacement riding technology for Northrend apparently.
Thanks for the comments, and @Orkchop, thanks for reminding me that Scribblenauts comes out this week!
One of my biggest reasons for playing WoW these days is to experience old world content that I never did, before it gets changed up.
Um. er.. you know what? I think many people feel this way. No wonder Arthas is all grumpy. He’s already obsolete. Wait, wasn’t that a Twighlight Zone episode at one time…
Gonna be so weird to see the barrens litteraly RIPPED in half…not to mention all those things which shall disappear….QUICK! Someone get screen shots! D=
I think part of the reason there’s this sense of futility to the current game is the lack of awesomeness held within ToC.
The encounter design is there, it’s fun content, but from a “building up to Icecrown” feeling… I don’t know if I could possibly be less enthused. The Crusader’s Coli just feels like a waste of time.
Then again, being bad at fighting the Scourge is kind of the Argent Crusade’s calling card.
I know what you mean. I feel the pressure of time to get everything done that I want to get done before the expansion hits. So I’m a little more frantic and less relaxed. So much to do, so little time.
@ perera: But no-one listens to me NOW when I tell them how much harder it was in vanilla!
(“Back in MY day, there were only ten epic mounts purchased ever, and if someone mounted up on one in Ironforge, everyone would come and gawk at it. You had to store all your keys in your bags because there wasn’t a keyring, and you had to click all your flight-paths manually, instead of stringing them all along with a single click!”)
How about trying to direct 39 total strangers?
Farming gold for your “epic” mount
High Warlord/Grand Marshal
“Wow I actually got into a naxx raid!”
*An item you need drops* *has to roll against 20 other people and loses*
i met a lvl 80 other day that didn’t even know who Thrall was… or that Ironforge had an Airfield… i remember when the game was much smaller… the first 2 races were only orcs and humans and everyone had a yellow nameplate…… oh yeah and the game was much harder… and was still the best game in the world… btw i didnt like wotlk as much as BC but im really looking forward to Cat sence i think it might make the game new to me again :3
Sure there’s a point, if you do it now you can brag about how hard it used to be later on
Sure there is a point, to kill Arthas.
Fert beat me to it. The only real point left in playing is to be prepared for when Icecrown Citadel comes out.
Hehe. Terrific!
And Fert nailed it – the point is to kill Arthas (and hope that it is an epic, epic fight).
get your loremaster title/achivment before they revamp ALL the quests

How about: Because it’s a fun game? XD

The reason is because it’s still fun.
Woa.
I love Ashenvale D:
Wait, people quest in Ashenvale?
@Majutsukai – Sure. How else to we get to play around in Dalaran as a furbolg? Duuuuuh.
Gonna be so weird to see the barrens litteraly RIPPED in half…not to mention all those things which shall disappear….QUICK! Someone get screen shots! D=

They laugh and don’t believe me…

In hindsight fishing still sucks.
But it’s better than it was, because archaeology sucks more.
