It’s undeniably true. I used to work for a company that organizes video game competitions, and during live events, I realized how badly some of these poor kids really have to be introduced to showers and soap. Or at the very least, deodorant and washing machines.
Hang on a minute.
You spend half of the time ranting against insulting female gamer stereotypes, and now you’re promoting insulting male gamer stereotypes?
I was @ GenCon one year GMing for the RPGA, and there was a guy @ one of my tables that had the most horid breath. He sat next to me @ the table as well. Most of the other players came up to me after commending me with dealing with the smell. I so wanted to vomit, it would have smelled better.
I always make sure to take a shower each day @ a con and even pack my toothbrush & paste to take with me to the con site just in case I eat something spicy or what not. That is in addition to gum & mints, even take some deodorant as the A/C never keeps up to the body heat in vedor halls.
re: Anonymous … the truth is that the stereotypes for girls and gaming apparently aren’t true… *my sister is a good example* and the stereotypes for boys that play too much… out of personal experience… are true… ever been to an Internet caffe in the ARMY? Omg those boys didn’t move for 3 days… one actually had to have an ambulance come pick him up cause his leg got a blood-clot… the whole place smelled so bad… i even thought i saw my former commander there playing wow at some point… i never visited again… (there are a few well dressed and nice-smelling boys out there… i just haven’t met them)

This requires the Double Pits to Chesty.
