I like housing. And extensive avatar customisation, that’s always good.
I guess where certain kinds of developers (and particularly investors) trip up is not realising the difference between ‘girl gamers’ and ‘women gamers’. Same applies to ‘boy gamers’ and ‘men gamers’. These terms are irrespective of actual age and more related to what tends to attract those types of people to entertainment. Sure a female gamer may be attracted to scrapbooking, pets and interior design but that is because they have a certain girlish personality, same as male gamer may be attracted to the stereotypical big guns, macho player characters and killing lots of baddies but in that case they are attracted to (or at least indulging in) boyish things.

also, i likely want that pink thing too…but, but…not just because i’m a female gamer…it’s uh…for the achievement.

This is brilliant because this is EXACTLY me and my wife. Every time I show her one of my exciting new vanity pets, or mounts, or RP outfits, she just rolls her eyes and goes back to killing everything in sight with that merciless warrior glee.

I’m sort of a mix of stereotypes in MMORPGs: My hobbies are shooting the living crap out of things, hiding eggs in obscure places for other people to find (A Malaysian game let me pull this off with their animal taming system!), customizing my characters to be as beauteous as possible, and shooting the living crap out of things while a cute fuzzy pet ruthlessly shreds their entrails. I hadn’t even noticed some of those things could be gender-skewed.
P.S. Who /wouldn’t/ want that pink thing?
